Good Morning D&K Customers, Friends and Family, We are now just about two weeks under construction. So far we have had the old tiles removed that have been there since 1979, most of the smoke-filled insulation in the shop is now gone as well and we have filled over four 20' dumpsters full of debris and lost equipment. We had the whole crew together again last week and we all enjoyed working together for a day. When one spends more time at work than they do with their own family during the week, they become family as well. And that day proved how close we all are. Now that the ball is rolling we should get the estimated reopening day here soon from our general contractor. Demolition should be completed within the next week. Once the Demo is completed we will be able to give you all the reopening date. We can't begin to even tell you how excited we are to get back to helping you all. Doug, Paul and I are meeting every week to im ... read more

Hello D&K Customers, Friends and Family, Last week was busy here at D&K. We have now scheduled the contractors to come in and start working! It appears that we will be no longer here at the shop starting 9/20. But of course, we can still be reached by phone. We are going to be back at it in November at this point. Paul is still answering every phone call to help all of you with anything you may need. Even if we cannot perform the work to your vehicle we can still guide you in the right direction to get your vehicle taken care of. We had a great meeting with our behind-the-scenes partners last week as well. We met with Rena Rennebohm (our Service Advisor Coach), Ray Kunz (our business Coach) and Terra (our Repair Pal representative) to discuss our Grand Opening! We are excited to get back to helping all of you again. After all, that is what why we are here. This past weekend Doug and I attended a Service Advisor training clas ... read more

Hello again D&K Customers, Friends and Family, Last week was again, very productive. Our shop is just about completely empty now. There's a counter, one computer (that I'm writing this on), two stools a folding table and one plastic chair, and that's it. We're working on our ninth year here at this location. So it's certainly odd to see it this empty. But in a couple of months, it will be full again and look even better! The restoration company is still here cleaning all of the items that can be cleaned and they will be here for at least the rest of the week. This week we hope to start construction. We are waiting for more approvals from our insurance, which we should have today or tomorrow. Thank you all for the continued support. Please call us if you have any questions or concerns. Paul is sitting by the phone waiting to help! Until next week, R.J. MilnesGeneral Manager ... read more

Hello again D&K Customers, Friends and Family, Here is this weeks update to you all. Last week we had the most productive week yet. Our equipment has been almost all been inventoried and lots of items have been thrown away. The shop is now nearly bare and some demolition should start sometime this week. The restoration crew is now cleaning all of the tools that are salvageable and they will start moving the rest of the things out into storage. It is kind of crazy to see this process happening first hand. We're are still here to answer any and all questions. Paul will still be answering the phones from home. So please feel free to give us a ring with anything you all may need. Until next week! R.J. MilnesGeneral ManagerD&K Auto Repair925-779-9242Fax 9 ... read more
